COMMUNITY MENTORING

Our traditional mentoring model—and our most flexible! Matches plan and meet up for low-cost activities out in the community twice a month based on their own schedule.

This career-focused program connects students with corporate mentors, providing them with guidance, networking, and career exploration opportunities. Through monthly group sessions facilitated by BBBS staff, students gain essential soft skills, exposure to the professional world, and the confidence to pursue a meaningful career. For companies, it’s an opportunity to engage employees in meaningful volunteerism while also shaping the future workforce in the Greater Sacramento Area.

HIGH SCHOOL BIGS

High school students serve as Bigs to elementary school Littles in this school-based mentoring program. Students meet weekly after school to participate in facilitated group activities designed to promote academic achievement, character development, and social-emotional growth. Over the course of the school year, Littles gain a trusted friend and relatable role model, while high schoolers develop their confidence, leadership skills, and a passion for giving back.
